Celebrating its 25-year anniversary in 2027, CQ has rebranded as Contemporary Textiles in recognition of the group’s position at the cutting edge of quilting and stitched textile practice. This exhibition showcases the rich diversity of textile work created by members who have been with the group since its inception.

Stitching Den

Whether you are an experienced stitcher or need to gain more confidence using a sewing machine, our machine stitching classes are the perfect place to start. Available to pre-book online; make sure that you secure yourself a place on these popular sessions.

Creative Den Workshops

Cat makes Boho art clothing using all sorts of vintage textiles, reimagining the wonderful skill and creativity of the past, and saving gorgeousness from landfill. All items are handmade, by Cat in her Norfolk studio.

BRAND NEW Connie Flower Pyrography

Discover the art of woodburning with Welsh pyrography artist, Connie! Try your hand at this ancient, therapeutic craft of burning designs onto wood - it's calming, creative, and incredibly satisfying. Say hello, watch the process, and give it a go!

Hannah Blowes – Submerge Art

Submerge Art is a fine art printmaking company run by Hannah in her workshop near Bude, Cornwall. Hannah is an avid printmaker and teacher who runs print workshops in Cornwall and designs craft kits to allow makers to learn printmaking.

Alison Hulme

Alison Hulme creates vibrant, hand-printed textiles and signature pinnies using her unique screen-printing style. She offers engaging talks and creative workshops, inspiring makers to experiment with colour, pattern, and print in fun, hands-on sessions suitable for all levels.

Shree Desai

Shree is a Textile Designer and Art Workshop leader who is passionate about teaching and connecting to the creative world. Shree's background includes a MA degree in Textile Design from the National Institute of Design in India. This autumn Shree will be demonstrating Lippan Kaam, a type of mud and mirror handicraft from the Rajasthan and Gujaret desert regions. Lippan literally means 'to apply’, and many homes in these regions are decorated with camels, birds, trees, blooms, peacocks, and other nature-inspired motifs, as a creative expression to bring harmony into the home. So come and join Shree to learn more and create your own glittering art piece to take home.

Tracey Spurgin

Tracey is a Senior Art Clay Instructor with 20+ years’ experience who is returning to The Creative Craft Show Exeter after a few years’ break. Based at Craftworx Jewellery Workshops, East Yorkshire, Tracey teaches studio workshops and online as well as teaching at venues across UK and internationally.

Kerrie Padmore – Living in Loveliness

Kerrie has been teaching sewing workshops – everything from mini zippers to patchwork and quilting – for more than 10 years. She has taken her love of teaching and passion for selecting beautiful fabrics and accessories along with her experience and knowledge from teaching classes to write and launch her own fabulous patterns. Kerrie’s passion lies in bringing people together in workshops through their shared joy of sewing and she looks forward to welcoming you to her wonderful world of ‘Living in Loveliness’ at the shows.

Liberty Goodswen

The Felting Art of Warmth and Whimsy – Liberty, the founder of Liberty’s Felterie, has experimented and developed various needle felting techniques, which she loves to share through workshops Since winning Kirstie Allsopp’s Channel 4 ‘Handmade Christmas’ her wreath designs have been especially popular!

Maria Maidment, founder of Old Maid New shares knowledge and passion for goldwork embroidery and specializes in the beginner level market, who wants to explore goldwork embroidery. From its historical roots to its relevance in modern design, the gold work kits and supplies will guide you through the artistry of this exquisite technique, leaving you inspired and ready to explore the world of goldwork for yourself.

Elizabeth Hunt

Elizabeth Hunt specializes in using Argentium silver which allows hers and her student’s work to be created using fusing. This amazing, recycled silver has the unique ability to fuse to itself and other metals making it great for novices. Elizabeth has regularly appeared on Jewellery maker and used to work for Gems TV.

The British Polymer Clay Guild

The Guild is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers for members who are interested in learning and sharing tips and techniques about creating with polymer clay. They are open to all who are interested in polymer clay.

Woodbury Woodturners

Woodbury Woodturners are a large woodturning group based in Woodbury Devon. They meet on the third Thursday of the month and regularly have demonstrations with both inhouse turners and professionals, plus competitions, club organised tuition and hands-on nights. They will be demonstrating at The Creative Craft Show and would love to see you there and have a chat.

Lyndsey Harvey – Crafting with Lyndsey

Crafting with Lyndsey delivers workshops across the Southwest in a variety of crafts from sewing to macrame and arm knitting to bargello needlepoint. She also has designed and produced a variety of colourful craft kits perfect for crafting beginners.
