The Guru Nanak Tapestry began as an idea to celebrate the 550th birthday of the founder of Sikhism. Guru Nanak believed that the fundamentals of life were Sharing, Honesty and Meditation. His belief in the unity of humankind brought together a group of over 90 women (and one young boy) to join this multi faith project, many of whom had not sewn for a long time, if at all.
