Learn the skilled craft of Marquetry, which uses natural wood veneer to produce pictures and decorate boxes and items of furniture.
You will learn this traditional inlay technique by making two marquetry coasters using real wood veneer, whilst acquiring sufficient knowledge to allow you to move on and produce your own marquetry projects.
During this class, workshop attendees will also learn about the Marquetry Society and offered a discounted price, should they wish to join, including 2 free issues of the Societies magazine, a free marquetry kit to make a further 6 coasters and The Beginners Guide to Window Marquetry, DVD covering all aspects of creating a marquetry picture.

Advisory Note:
The class is suitable for anyone over 13 years old who can grip a craft knife; children under 16, must always be accompanied by an adult.
