Learn the art of hand sewing 3D felt flowers – creating cheery Sunflowers with Paula Milner, The Crafty Lass.Sunflowers can either be stemmed for use in a vase or backed for use as a brooch, added to a cushion, wreath, fascinator – or anything you like!

Under Paula’s guidance you will cover:

● Felt types and other materials used to construct sunflowers, stems and leaves.
● Time for you to create your own flowers using the techniques demonstrated from her upcoming ‘Felt Flowers’ book (publishing June 2026)
● You can work at your own pace and make as many flowers as you would like as time allows.

Demonstrations will include:

● Using felt to create the textured sunflower centre
● How to add shape to flat sunflower petals
● How to sew your petals around the sunflower centre
● How to both add stems and back your sunflowers
● How to add wires to sunflower leaves to create shaping
● How to display or attach your sunflowers to whatever you would like!
● How to adapt the size of your sunflowers

Paula will also happily give guidance on recommended suppliers for materials.

A complimentary entry ticket for you to visit the main shows on Thursday morning, all materials including felt pre-cut petals, backs and leaves (more time for sewing together!), any wires required, paper petal template to take away after the class.
